Each year, JCA organizes the Cultural Program to celebrate Mahaveer Janam Kalyanak in which over 1,500 to 2,000 Jains along with their families from around the Tri State area attend to celebrate the religious festivities and cultural programs. We are pleased to have the opportunity to organize this incredible event for all the community to take part in again.

Anjansalaka Pratimaji arrived in NY on February.26,2014 and Parona Ceremony was successfully performed at JTNY, New Hyde Park. We thank  all at JTNY on Behalf of  Jain Center of America, NY for their help.

Pratishtha and Pravesh Ceremony on Sunday,March 23,2014 will be performed by Vidhikar Shri Nareshbhai S.Shah & Vidhikar Shri Sureshbhai Doshi.

Young Jains of America (YJA)  will be giving a presentation on their organization as well as details of the 2014 YJA Convention: "Young Jains: Today's Learners, Tomorrow's Leaders"  that will be held in Washington, DC during the July 4, 2014 weekend. The 11th bi-annual convention will have close to 1,000 Young Jains across the country attend spiritual and networking sessions over 3 days. The conventions is entirely planned, managed and executed by our young generation of Jains.

We request all our JCA Membership, our Board of Trustees and Executive Committee as well as our future generation of Jain leaders between the ages of 14-29 years to attend this presentation on Sunday | March 2, 2014 | 12:00pm to 1:00pm | 2nd Floor Sthanak Hall  | followed by Swamivatsalya. The YJA team will be there to answer any questions you may have concerning their organization and the convention.
Young Jains of America is an entity of Federation of the Jain Associations in North America (JAINA). YJA puts emphasis on projects relating to Jain youth from ages 14-29. YJA was first established in 1991, and held its first youth convention in 1994.
Throughout the years, YJA’s membership has grown substantially. Today, YJA serves over 10,000 members.  Our mission is to be recognized nationally and internationally as an umbrella Jain youth organization for establishing a network for and among youth to share Jain heritage and religion.
YJA Objectives:
To raise awareness about Jain ideals and principles in North America and the world.
To create a forum for sharing Jain religion.
To instill a sense of pride among youth about Jain heritage.
To address the problems, difficulties, and concerns facing Jain youth.
To assist and to promote charitable community activities.
To prepare youth, who ascribe to Jain values, to become successful leaders of tomorrow.

The 2014 YJA Convention: "Young Jains: Today’s Learners, Tomorrow’s Leaders", will
inspire youth to apply the principles of Jainism in their lives. The participants will leave
the convention ready to impact the world as active leaders. By interacting with 
attendees of all ages, youth will learn how Jainism is a source of support at each
phase, from the teenage social network to a young graduate’s career.
Attendees will have the opportunity to connect, learn, and share their thoughts with one
another on a variety of subjects. Sessions, speakers, and new friends will all come
together to complete the learning experience through a variety of fun, innovative, and
interactive programming experiences; attendees will engage in a variety of activities
and sessions relating to ahimsa, aparigraha, anekantavada, developing leadership, and
working to improve the human condition.
With the help of donors such as yourself, YJA can cover various convention costs,
such as hotel accommodations and food for attendees, speakers and volunteers, travel
costs for diverse speakers and decorations for social events.

This convention will connect nearly 700 youth from across the globe. During the daytime sessions, attendees will hear from inspirational speakers who keep Jainism and its values alive in the hearts and minds of youth. In addition, this year will be the first time YJA introduces Jain Academic Bowl (JAB) to the convention. Get excited for some diverse sessions on Jain education, interfaith, lifestyle, college/careers, debates, games, and much more! Join us at the 2014 YJA Convention Social events for four days of reuniting with old friends and making new ones. Dining Experience
Attendees will be provided a variety of delicious Jain and vegan meals, from Mexican and Asian, to American and Italian.
Jain Networking Forum (JNF) is designed for Jains between the ages of 21 and 29 and has the goal of fostering professional relationships. JNF 2014 will provide attendees the opportunity to meet similar-minded individuals through interactive daytime sessions, while creating lasting connections with Jains that are successful in a variety of careers. Additionally, the unique social events will allow attendees to relax, mingle, and have an unforgettable experience.
