Following are the details of JCA NY Pathshala Classes.

We will be following the JAINA curriculum, and the teachers will be giving their input according to the children needs. All learning materials will be provided. These classes will be held in all 3 languages - English, Gujarati and Hindi for all the 5 traditions in our temple.

Additionally, for age groups of children above age 10, we will continue with studying the Panch Parmeshthi as per the JAINA curriculum, along with the understanding of Bhaktamar Stotra. As we all know, the Bhaktamar Stotra is a sacred and revered Strotra for all Jains, and we will spend time explaining the meaning and pronunciation of the same. This class for age group of 10+ will be on alternate Sundays, and is for 1.5 hours. The next Bhaktamar Strotra class is on January 6th 2019 at 11am. Please contact Mr Nitinji Ajmera @ 516-849-1929.

Religious education is important because it equips students with cultural, social, moral and spiritual knowledge that aids in mental and physical development within society. Children are naturally curious and by teaching them about our religion, we are giving them the information they seek and filling the gap in their knowledge, in the same way we do when we teach about history or politics.
