Happy Deepawali and a Prosperous New Year.
Following programs are scheduled at the JCA Temple to celebrate Deepawali Festival.

Deepawali 2014 Celebration
We would like to inform all members that Shri Adinath Jinalaya will be having 2014 Deepawali Nirvaan Ladoo Puja on:
DATE: Thursday 23rd October 2014
TIME: Starting at 9:30 am sharp
EVENT: Murti Abhishek, Bhajan & Bhakti Bhavna Puja, Aarti and Swamivatsalya
Nirvaan Ladoo will be provided to everybody joining in the Nirvaan Puja.
Deepawali has a very special significance in our Jain religion - On this day Bhagwan Mahavir, the last of the current Jain Tirthankar, attained Nirvan or Moksh at Pavapuri on the day of Kartik Krishna Amavasya.
A sincere request to all members to join us with family and friends to celebrate this auspicious occasion. As Jains, it is our obligation and duty towards the next generation to actively participate in such celebrations and carry on our Jain traditions.

JCA invite Sakal Sangh to join us for Darshan and Bahuman of Diksharthi, Nishaben Kapashi, daughter of Manojbhai and Manjariben Kapashi on Sunday, October 26th @ 10 AM in the Temple. Her Diksha ceremony is on Jan. 18th, 2015 at Sammetshikharji Tirth in India. There will be a Pravachan by her so we request all members to take labh and then, it will be followed by Swamivatsalya.

Art Gallery - Skill Training Workshops for Childrens and Adults, Followed by Unique Exhibition of Making Auspicious Palasanas for Aagam Granths on Sunday 5th, 12th, 19th October, 2014

Dear Sadharmik Brothers and Sisters,
Jai Jinendra,
With immense pleasure we would like to bring to your notice that Art Gallery is once again bringing skill training workshops for childrens as well as adults, followed by unique Exhibition of making Auspicious Palasanas for Aagam Granths (a piece of cloth embroidered with various stitches to cover Jinvani and Aagam Granths).
Our own Mrs. Padma Shetti, Mrs. Poonam Jain and Mrs. Shweta Jain have volunteered to teach children and adults various stitches. This will help children and members to learn the skills and then they can use their creativity to create these Auspicious Palasnas.
We will be teaching multiple styles of embroideries, quilting, patch work, knitting, crochet to mention few.

Are you ready for the Tirth Yatra? It's less than a week and we want to make sure you pick up your ticket and aware of some Rules/Regulations for the Yatra. We have 275 members and 5 buses for the Yatra: 1 bus from Hicksville, 1 bus from Floral Park, 1 bus from Sunnyside and 2 buses from Ithaca Street.
Please Pick your bus ticket from the Temple.

  6:00 AM -  Check-in time @ Bus location
  6:30 AM -   Departure from Union Tpke and Ithaca St. (6:15 AM from Hicksville)
  8:30 AM -   Arrive Siddhachalam - Chaitya Vandan, Puja, Darshan & Breakfast
11:00 AM -   Depart from Siddhachalam to PittsburghTemple
  2:00 PM -   Rest Area Break (Lunch packet will be served)
  5:00 PM -   Arrive Pittsburgh Temple - Darshan, Bhakti Bhavna & Dinner
  7:00 PM -   Depart from Pittsburgh to Hotel
10:00 PM -   Arrive Holiday and Hampton Inn Hotel for night stay
Sunday, September 21st
  8:00 AM -   Depart Holiday and Hampton Inn Hotel to Cleveland Temple - Breakfast in Hotel only
  8:30 AM -  Arrive Cleveland Temple - Chaitya Vandan, Puja, Darshan

12:00 PM -  Depart Cleveland Temple to NY
  3:00 PM -  Rest Area Break

Rules to follow:
1.  Be on time and observe the schedule so we can complete the Yatra as per plan.
2.  Take all your required medicines.
3.  Pack minimum Clothes/Jewelry in a small bag.
4.  Do Not damage bus or hotel property. You will be liable for your action. Please keep them clean including Bus Restroom.
5.  Jain Center of America, Trustees and Executive Committee will not be held responsible for any kind of lost property and/or personal injury
to anyone at any time during the entire Yatra.
6.  JCA Executive Committee will reserve all rights to change/modify Yatra at any time without prior notice, as and if required.
7.  Room assignment are done by Hotel Management according to your request. Jain Center of America will not be held responsible for any
room allotment.
8.  No car will be allowed to park inside the JCA parking area for members who are travelling in this yatra.

We need sponsors for the Bus, Water and Food/Snacks, which can be done as an individual or in a group. Your kind co-operation in this matter will be highly appreciated.

Sponsors: Swamivatsalya:- Mr. Kanak and Mrs. Prabha Golia & family; Dr. Ajay and Dr. Smita Lodha & family.
We are still looking for Sponsors so any Members who are interested in sponsoring the event (Individual or Joint), should give their names to the Executive Committee Members and/or JCA Office.
Gheeboli will be held for Swapna Darshan, Sonani Mala (Gold Chain) and Motini Mala (Pearl Chain). Following 5 Swapnas and its Sonani and Motini Mala will be given thru a DRAW. There will be donation of $151/- for one entry to the DRAW. All names will be kept in draw. First draw will take place for 5 Swapna Darshan; Second draw will be for 5 Sonani Mala and third draw will be for 5 Motini Mala. You can have as many entries as you want by donating $151/- for each entry. You will have maximum 15 chances to get Swapna draw. However the winning entry will not be eligible for the next draw. Please participate generously and give your names to any of the committee members on or before the time of lucky draw on Saturday Aug 23, 2014. Draw will take place before the Swapna Darshan Ceremony starts. Bhagyashali who takes the Ghee Boli of Mata Pita of Lord Mahavir should arrive at the hall at 2:30 PM as the Vargoda procession will start at 3.00 PM sharp.
